What it is like to attend
Staff create a warm and inclusive environment, where all children and families feel welcome and respected. Staff respond sensitively to children's differing needs.
Their patience and soothing words help children to feel safe, and this gives them the security to be themselves and to explore freely. This means that all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who speak English as an additional language, thrive and make progress. Staff know the children well and carefully observe and note children's interests and developmental needs. This enables staff to provide a stimulating and relevant curriculum, which builds on children's skills and helps them to move on in their learning.
Staff ensure that all children have regular opportunities to explore and play outside. This has a positive impact on children's health and well-being and gives them a wide variety of opportunities to practise and develop their physical skills.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- consider how books can be shared more effectively with children after lunch in the Stars room, to support all children to participate and gain the most from the activity n review the organisation of mealtimes in the baby room so children receive high- quality social and communication experiences n support staff in pre-school to plan number activities that gradually build on children's previous skills and help them to progress to the next stage in their learning.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
