Worth knowing. For parents choosing to access over their free entitlement an invoice will be issued for the extra hours under our normal procedure. Voluntary consumables charge of £5.00 per half term for those attending up to 15 hours a week, and £10.00 per half term for those attending up to 30 hours a week.

What it is like to attend
Children excitedly enter the pre-school. They receive a warm greeting from staff, who know the children well and are on hand to help those that struggle to settle.
Children have strong attachments to the staff and regularly go to them for a cuddle. This reassures them as staff genuinely care about their well-being.
Resources are inviting and well presented to allow children to select where they want to play.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- help children to recognise their emotions so they begin to understand the impact their behaviour has on others n grasp every opportunity to engage children in conversation and teach them to do more for themselves, for example during snack time.

- Is £6.00 an hour still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
