What it is like to attend
Staff warmly welcome children as they arrive at this friendly setting. They are reassuring and attentive to children's needs. They spend time getting to know children and develop positive relationships with them. As a result, children feel safe and secure. They are excited to learn and settle quickly, eager to play and explore the wide range of activities available to them.
Staff are good role models and have high expectations for children's behaviour.
Children know the routine and what is expected of them. If children's behaviour deteriorates, staff give them gentle reminders which children then repeat to each other. Staff use effective ways to support children to understand their emotions and those of others. Children learn to share and take turns, they are making good relationships with each other.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- extend children's learning further and provide them with consistent challenges to help them make even more progress n strengthen skills in recognising when to give children more time to process information to support communication and language even further.

- Is £10.25 an hour still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
