Funded hours
Local Authority funding is available for a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks a year, starting from the term after your child’s third birthday.
Worth knowing. Our sessions are 2.5 hours long and we can offer up to six sessions per week. Sessions can also be shared between two different childcare providers. If your child is receiving the local authority funding, you are can to use any spare hours you may have towards the cost of the lunch club.

What it is like to attend
Children show excitement when they attend this pre-school and settle immediately.
Friendly and nurturing staff greet children warmly and listen to their experiences from home. Children feel exceptionally safe and secure. They enjoy close interactions with staff, such as cuddles and responsive conversations.
Children behave exceptionally well. They are respectful to adults, peers and the environment. Children demonstrate highly positive attitudes to learning and show an eagerness to join in with all activities. They are extremely motivated and display high levels of curiosity. Children use specific dolls during circle time to help them talk about their feelings and those of others. They are very independent and plan which activities they will play with. Afterwards, they hang pictures below their laminated name of the activities they have engaged with. At circle time, children talk about what they have learned.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- ensure staff teaching meets children's individual next steps, particularly during free play and when outdoors, to help children make even more progress in their learning n adapt routines so children have more time to be actively engaged in learning.

- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
