What it is like to attend
Children are happy and secure. Staff form close relationships with children and understand how this helps their development. Staff are confident about the curriculum's aims and adapt activities to match each child's interests and needs.
Children are curious, engaged learners and make good progress in their learning and development. When children choose not to join an activity, staff respect their decision and help them find something else to do. Children know their opinions matter. Children are well prepared for the next stage of learning, and parents report that school transitions are positive.
Children are confident communicators. Toddlers sing along with parts they know when listening to songs. This helps them build their vocabulary. Outdoors, older children confidently explain that they are wiping the slide with a towel because the slide has got wet from the rain. This shows children's social confidence and independence.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support children to understand and celebrate their similarities and differences and to learn more about religions and cultures that differ from their own n work more closely with other settings that children attend to provide consistency in children's learning and development.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- Can I use my funded hours here? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
