What it is like to attend
Children receive exceptional care and education from the highly motivated staff team in this setting. Staff have the knowledge and skills to continually monitor children's unique learning needs and adapt the curriculum to suit these. Children are very well settled and highly motivated to learn. They ask staff questions to get more information about how to 'ignite' the open fire to cook pitta bread and listen carefully to them. Staff skilfully observe children at play and identify the key moments that they can step in to introduce new vocabulary or build on the detailed discussions between children to add to their learning experience.
Staff are excellent role models for children's behaviour. They demonstrate their high expectations and the setting's 'golden rules' in everything they do. As a result, children's behaviour is excellent. They invite each other to join in their play and make space for their friends, happily sharing and passing resources. Older children often discuss how they intend to manage complex issues such as how long each of them will spend taking a turn using resources because they understand the value of each having a fair and equal turn.
